Public Meeting of Disadvantaged Businesses (DBE) – L’Observateur

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) would like to invite all interested parties to a stakeholder meeting to discuss and provide feedback on establishing our Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the fiscal year. 2023-2025 for FTA and FHWA projects.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the LADOTD Headquarters Building, 1201 Capitol Access Road in Baton Rouge.

Federal regulation 49 CFR Part 26.45(g)(1) states: “When establishing an overall objective, you must plan for public participation. This public participation should include consultation with minorities, women’s groups and general contractors, community organizations and other officials or organizations who may have information regarding the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and your efforts to establish a level playing field for DBE participation.
