Storm Creek Announces Certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise

Storm Creek, Eagan, Minnesota, has announced its national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

The WBENC is the nation’s largest third-party certifier for women-owned and operated businesses. Certification is a meticulous process that includes a thorough business review and site inspection, designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

For Storm Creek, company CEO Teresa Fudenberg has been at the helm since 2014. She owns the company, along with her husband, president and brand founder Doug Jackson.

Fudenberg graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in marketing. She landed a job at Andcor Human Resources, where she managed marketing communications and learned the stories of many of the fast-growing startups that made up their customer base.

This appreciation for the entrepreneurial sector prompted her to start her own company, On Your Mark, where she worked as a fractional CMO for many second-stage entrepreneurs, acting as a right-hand man for those visionary founders who needed help. branding and corporate strategy to help realize their potential.

In 2014, she partnered with Jackson to transform her existing clothing brand into an entirely new business model. They launched TK Trading Co. Inc. DBA Storm Creek, with Fudenberg as majority owner and brand driver, and Jackson as product visionary. The company has grown from eight employees to more than 30.
